We Are Who We Thought We Were...

So I watched the Kentucky game last Thursday and have had the weekend to ponder it. The first thing that came to my mind was Denny Green's tirade from last year on the Bears. (Look it up on YouTube). To paraphrase, "We are who we thought we were"... We started off the season rolling off 5 straight wins and sitting in first place in the SEC East. But Thursday night, reality came crashing back down. We're still Kentucky... We still know how to lose.

Woodson had a dreadful game, looking nervous and overexcited most of the game. His two fumbles killed us, and the second one especially was inexcusable. You've got to make better decisions than that. For once, our defense was actually let down by our offence. They played well until the 4th Quarter and they were just worn out. Our inability to capitalize in the 3rd Quarter when South Carolina could do nothing was the clincher. When your defense plays to that level, you have to score touchdowns.

So now it's on to LSU at home. I'm honestly not sure what to expect. I think we played so poorly against South Carolina, it's hard to judge what kind of team we are. I'm not sure if that's what we look like against good teams or everybody had an off-night on the same night...
